- CC 和 Tutor seldom make uses of OLE. You can find your question unanswered for months or maybe finally deleted. There's a feeling as if they are all ignoring us.
- Some chapters Study Units are written good. However, the knowledge is inconsistence . The first few Units suggested that XHTML and CSS must be enforced but the later Units teaches HTML1.0, which is totally against the XHTML standard.
- There must be someone to maintain and update it because Web Design technique is advancing quickly compared to other courses.
- Some activities and all self tests are given to students without answers, you may never know if you are right or wrong, since there is no tutor to help.
- If we examine the course website with the standards of what we learn in the study unit. It is a very bad website. Graphic links to internal site are broken, it doesn't comply with the XHTML standards in Unit 3. Some pages aligned left and some aligned center. The topics are worse organised.
- The questions are questionable. I think an native English reader wouldn't know the main idea of the TMA.
- Incorrect Knowledge. e.g. TMA1, regarding the question about UNICEF. The fact is that the UNICEF website uese BIG5 encoding instead of UTF8.
- The marking scheme is waiy too subjective.
- YIP HOI MAN is lack of knowledge, retarded. Try to ask him a question, he could gradually change the topic and avoid answering. I am sure he will fail if he is a student of U234. On marking TMA he only gives marks to sections and NEVER gives comments. It would be better if he doesn't just give the comment of "Study Harder".
- Mr. Chu Man Cheong is the best teacher among tutors and CC. His knowledge is up to date. He is smart, well prepared for the tutorials. However, he quits U234 next year.
After studying for a year. I am taking extra efforts in finding books in public libraries and materials from the internet. Luckily I have kept some of the TMA passing with satisfactory. But I am losing interest in this subject because there are still many doubts in the study. I am not sure why I got marks in some TMA question and why some failed.
